Abdoulaye Sylla

Abdoulaye Sylla – of One World Arts Exchange, a Connecticut-based arts organization ‘committed to building intercultural understanding through the medium of performing arts’ [particularly West African music and dance], is a Guinean drummer and dancer. He was a principal dancer and drummer with Les Ballet Africains from 1989-1994 and trained with the private troupe, Les Merveilles D’Afrique from 1986 until 1994 when he moved to the U.S.

He is now director of the Connecticut dance troupe, Fotoba and teaches at Trinity College. (paraphrased from One World Arts Exchange website)
